Stay on the main highway going south out of Jaco towards Quepos and Dominical. Pass Esterillos. About 10-15 min. past Esterillos there will be a bunch of signs directing you down various dirt roads that access the beach. Keep your eyes open because there are lots of these signs. Take the Bejuco sign. Drive down the road and park by the bar on the left.

Informations supplémentaires
The wave can be fast and were powerful the morning I surfed it. Very long, hollow, 4-6ft rights. Some lefts got ridden too, but it was predominantly firing right barrels the morning I was there. Lots of paddling once you're in the water in order to track the waves but there's little to no current.

Atmosphère
There was a camp ground to the right of where we parked, and a bar on the left. Open beach with no one around (of course we were there at about 6am, so go figure). Very quiet, with not many locals. I was surfing with one local American and one of his buds. You could see the car the whole time, so no need to worry about security or anything like that. There are very rarely shark attacks in Costa Rica due to some fishing incidents they've had recently that killed off a bunch.

Général
A good spot. I don't know the best time of year because I was only in CR for a week in March. I was staying in Esterillos and when it was small, Bejuco was still firing. I can't even imagine what it's like during a big swell. It's around the southern point that's visible from the beach in Esterillos so it benefits from SW and S swells. It was a fun spot with plenty of barrels to be had for us that day. Whatever SPF sunscreen you use in the states, double it! Even at 7am the sun was starting to burn me.

Nice on a rare swell but watch out for dangerous riptides - This break gets really nice on the right swell and conditions but the other 90% of the time you get close outs with a really tough paddle out and super strong rip tides especially when the tide changes from high to low.
Please be careful if you surf this beach as the strong rip tides have claimed the lives of more than 1 or 2 people just in the past few years.
