Kisaki Beach is near the town of MIYAZAKI. its on Kyushu the southern big island of Japan. Once you`ve reached Miyazaki Station you can get a map of the touristy things to do and it's on there as the surfing beach. Shows a small map and you catch a train to a station called Undo-Koen and walk towards the beach and you're there. Choose your spot. If you cant find it ask at the tourist information spot at Miyazaki Train Station. I'd say that's your safest bet til you know where you're going.

few people??? - don't believe the no crowd rating! this place is packed all day everyday. LOTS of beginners so not that hard to score a few. pretty average waves for the most part. river at the left of beach had better waves.

At least get the names right! - As an old Miyazaki local I think you should at least get the names right. The station for this beachbreak is Undokoen (Undo=sports, koen= park) and yep, it's the sports park. In early summer you can go and catch a baseball game here with the Tokyo Giants who use it as their prep camp for the season. The actual walk from the station is pretty far (over a mile) and that is a long way on a hot summer day. I know as I've done it! Better to stick your thumb out. The locals are pretty friendly and you'll be unlucky if you don't get a ride to the beach. You might even score some cool friends. I met some of my best friends there via this route (big up to Masa, Hiro, Shaka and co!). The beach itself is very fickle and always crowded (I've seen a crowd sitting out in front of the toilets here even when it was as flat as millpond!). When the typhoon season comes round the break is full of detritus washed down from the mountains (logs, leaves, dead animals) and can get pretty rippy and has a heavy shorebreak. In one year they had over ten people drown at this beach so watch yourself.
