From Punta Hermosa (about 43 km south of Lima) head into the town and look for the island (La Isla): the first beach to the right (north) of this is El Paso, further north is a small beach - Playa Norte, the surfing is on the northern end of this beach. There is a beach break onto sand with mixed large rocks which isn't bad for bodyboarding. The main surf spot is a point break that is used for bodyboarding and short boards. Atmosphère

All these spots work all year, but the summer months of January-March are always crowded. Other times of year you could have this spot to yourself!

A fun, but dangerous, wave: not radical, but not for beginners either! Nice spot if La Isla is too crowded, which is most of the summer.
