the place to stay - ecuador isn´t indo but its a nice place and you can get good waves.
me and another aussie guy met a guy named migel at the bus stop in manta who told us to stay at his place ¨piña hua¨ they are cool guys and speak very good english. they will take you surfing, feedyou(without an assblowout) they told me that if they have enough money to surf and eat then they are happy. manta is a shit hole. if you are looking for surf around here its wirth a few days. they also lined us up with there mate in los players who looked after us the same.
