irresponsible writeup - I surfed there and the owners do care about what you do there. Yeah, go ahead and just drive thru their property and you will definitely shut it down for everyone else!
This is a spot that should not be on this site. But since it is, I will tell you what to expect:
the area is closed at the end of summer - so there is only a window of a few days when a swell might make it in.
the kind of people who camp their are assholes and will bitch about where you park your car (no matter where you park it), but the owners are nice
the current is very strong running either east or west, depending on tide.
not much of anything good -- mostly too fast to ride lefts breaking in 2 feet of rocky water.
Lets please do the right thing and remove this listing -- so tensions in the strait do not get any worse with land owners.
Consider this a boat-in spot that doesn't really happen here -- area to the west with no public access looks more promissing.
One thing that is on my dream list is to put in a little west of here and paddle east on the incoming tide and try to make it all the way to salt creek - catching every wave one time on the way - using all the lefts as my main form of transportation. I would only do it if I had a person in a boat following me.
