Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): the atmosphere of this spot is totaly differnt than surf a beach break. People are on the cliffs watching you yelling at you like what are you doing. and then the park rangers are all yelling at you to like get the hell out of the water. they only do this when it is big and skecthy.

English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): place can be full on dangerous...on the first day it was ever surfed (many years ago) a guy dislocated his knee on the reef...dont try this place if your not confident about your ability...saw it on a clean nw swell and offshore winds...spectacular!

caution - urchins like mad on the bottom, slick ass goat trail to get down.

- Agreed, don't paddle out if there's 3 people in the water. The local guys are pretty cool, but don't be selfish and put people in danger. I've had some great days and some serious scares here. And about that super heavy wave to the NW...it's ridiculous (about 1/2 mile out) - can break on the order of 20-30 feet, but remember that all reforms on the inside here and when it hits you can get beat up bad.

Be Respectful - This is not a beachbreak. This is a reef that will mess up your day if you make a mistake. Ossie's has some pictures of peoples mishaps in case you think you're better than you really are.
That said, this place cannot hold too many people. I you see a group down there, don't add to it.
Also, this area is one of the more sharky areas on the Oregon coast, be careful and be aware of your surroundings.
