English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Getting on the beach isn't easy, because there aren't many spaces to park. In north Mantoloking, just park on East Ave., and walk right up to the beach. Any cross street of Route 35 is the only place to park anywhere south of East Ave. In the summer, it's not easy to get on the beach without a badge. If you do, you're lucky, if not, you have to go to the Boro Hall on Downer Ave. The wave is an ideal beginner spot until it gets about chest high, where it's fast and really fun. Bring your longboard, shortboard, and (if it's the offseason, between September to June) your dog.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): The wave is totally dependent on the sandbars at the time, and if you hit it at the right time, it can be really fun. Most of the time it's just a fun place to mess with your longboard or summer fish.
Général
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): A good option away from the more consistent, and more crowded, spots north like Manasquan and Jenk's and southern spots like Casino Pier.

Mantoloking surfing - Surfing the beaches of Mantoloking is way fun! The sandbars are shifty and sometimes the conditions aren't too good but when the waves, sandbars, and winds are just right-- Manto is easily one of the best surf spots in Jersey. The water is very clean, the water always seems warmer than neighboring surfspots, the beach is beautiful and whenever you aren't surfing, you can gaze at the wonderful oceanfront homes and the nice sand dunes. I recommend going at mid/incoming tide-- beaches off Lyman, Downer, Princeton and every other street are all about equal. Going after 4pm in the summer should warrant lower crowds and you don't have to purchase a badge. Mantoloking, all in all, is my favorite surf spot along the Jersey Shore
