- I walked a mile or so to get here the other day when there was a solid S swell. When I get there I see a mushy left dribbling accross the beach with a bunch of flat spots. I was pretty irritated at this point because i had walked all this way expecting to get to an 'epic break'. I decided that I might as well paddle out so I paddle around the jetty and catch a wave and find out that theres so many deep channels that you cant get past the flat sections no matter how hard you pump. I decide that it was a waste of time to keep surfing there so I left. On the way out a fisherman who had been watching me told me that he hadnt seen many surfers since the big storm 2 years ago which messed up the sandbars. Seems they never shifted back. I ended up going to gilgo afterwards and it was alot better, the waves were actually rideable!
