 Accès

Update 4/29/2009. Access to this spot is very difficult now. The ranch and land where the trail is has been littered constantly (mostly by students and visiting Brazilians) and the owners are now heavily enforcing trespassing rules because of this. You either have to paddle or boat in unless you know the owners and get an invite. Paddle is about 2-3 miles and the shore is cliffs meet ocean so hiking is nearly impossible unless it's negative tide. Hiking in is illegal and they now actually call the cops if they catch you. The wave is a semi point. It's good at the takeoff and turns into a mush burger, similar to Ledbetter beach. It pales in comparison to it's big sisters El Cap to the north and Campus Point to the south. Not really worth the effort for a wave that is mediocre at best.

- Where I come from, a "local" is someone that can walk to the subject break. Most all of the breaks, north of Santa Barbara, have virtually zero locals, because almost no one lives within sight. There's just guys that drive farther, than others. I would bet that most of the, so called locals, at these places don't even know where each other live. As such, the "local" crew is probably peppered with liars, claiming some sort "local" status. Guys that commute to these breaks, from Goleta, Lompoc, Solvang, etc. All far enough away, to lose the attitude, before they arrive. Some of these places require alittle trespassing, to even get to the beach. I'm sure that the wealthy owners (Big $) of the land, don't appreciate some visitor regulating who gets to trespass over their property. Near where I live (Lunada Bay), property owners are tired enough of the constant bitching, by surfers claiming some sort of local control, that measures are being explored to completely cut off access, by anything but boat. It's a crowded world... Get over it.

NOT WORTH IT - place is flat year round. Went down there got hassled. Rocks thrown at me. Bunch of cavemen fighting each other for knee high (at best) waves. I didnt even surf, Then went back to my car and some asshole wrecked my car.

- I'm from Kauai where true locs are. You blonde haired pussies can act tough in cali, but you'd get scraped in the islands. I'll be at eddies tomorrow. I hope you try me.
