If you can deal with the hike, Tunitas is a pretty sweet break these days. Years ago I'm told it was not great, but for the past few it's been extremely consitent with fun, fast rides, wipeouts here aren't anything to write home about even on the big days which is nice. The other awesome thing is the easy paddle-out on the south end of the beach near the rocks... Again, even on the big days!

Last note... Unfortunately, they don't call it "Don'tEatUs creek" for nothing. I've personally seen a shark there, though the only recorded "incident" was in the 80's where a surfer had his board chomped. Don't let the man in the gray suit scare you though, this break is awesome, especially for bodyboarders. Nice curling lips and wedges.
