- Rochers
- Localisme
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): If the surf is really good do not park up by the cliff. I have had friends get wax on the windshield. Locals are low key otherwise, a little grumpy but not violent such as the spots around the corner to the north. Family oriented localized spot, but lots of non-locals also.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Can be a very fun drop with an average shoulder that can stand up all the way down the point. The reef at the top of the point can be fun as well, but can be very shallow and is more heavily protected by shortboarding local crew.
Général
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Great spot for longboarding and big shortboards. Can be fun long righthander breaking over rocky / sandy area. Show respect for the crew that lives in the area and you will be fine. Best to stay away from the hut area halfway down the point where younger locals hang out, best not to tempt fate. In a decent swell there can be several peaks which serves to keep the crowd spread out.

Digg it. - Went here for first time yesterday morning. Played splashing game with Seal. Local was a bit of a grumpy. I asked what to watch out for and how the line works. He was irritated. Unfortunately i parked at tourmaline and paddled the distance. Anyhow i'll be back here constantly. It was awesome. That big rock almost got me.

Everybody just chill out - I see a lot of flaming and shit talk on this board. Well here's my two cents. Three generations of my family have surfed the LJ reefs. My experience is that if you're mellow, respectful and and even halfway skilled, nobody will give you any grief. Even at Windansea. I'm no Eddie, but each time I come home, I can score a few nice rights with no hassles. If the local crew is ripping, I enjoy watching them and snagging a few waves after they've had theirs.
And to the holmes from FLA, if you're this aggro on a freaking chat board, I can only imagine what a shithead you are in the water. I'm glad you hate our breaks. Piss off, Vanilla Ice and leave them to us.
By the way, I had the best surf of my life at PB point. three feet overhead, sunset, offshore winds and Skip Frye leading the charge. I still dream of it.

Hecklers under the bluffs - I made the mistake of dropping in on a 'local' guy and all of his drunken old hippy buddies, on the beach, sure let me have it. The yells of 'KOOK!', 'CRANK-LICKER', and 'FAGGG' echoed across the water as I paddled back out. But, you know what, I'll be back again. Aside from the old hippy hagglers and the local vibe I enjoyed my moment in ruining an old dude's wave. Thanks!
