used to walk there from my house - rarely would anyone paddle out if u were out there with friends, but that was the 80s. mid 90s i heard thee was some asian from PB that decided he was local cuz he drove there often. lol. was seldom good, but i never got the spot wired. i'd probably surf it alot today to escape the crowds, but i moved 20+ years ago. i bet its got a crew nowadays, 7 days a week. i bet north bird is full of SUPs too. but i am out of the loop.
