English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Remote location off of west coast of Vancouver Island. Can be accessed directly by boat, if you are very experienced with the Ocean. Or six hour drive west from Campbell River onto a boat charter (Uchuck 3, passenger ferry), to land on Nootka Island. From the drop off is an eight hour hike west through rain forestto the open Ocean. The final destination has surf shacks to accommodate. Not much chance of seeing another person. English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Try spots of Bajo Point and Calvin Bay to find waves.

My guess about the ideal surf season would be that it would match what is typical to Van Is. surfing and swells. This being spring and fall, because summer lacks energy, though has great weather and the winter has too much energy and can get scary being the first land that storms meet.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Remote, remote location, tons of wildlife, big like Black Bears to small mice that will enjoy your food. Not a high probability that you will see another person. A long trip into a highly remmoved location, be prepared. Not only much experienced surfer but experienced hiker required. Take a look at weather forcast and don't bother in the winter.

North Island breaks - I'm going to be doing a surf trip around the island in my boat, it's a 48 foot sloop. I can cruise at a max of 7 knots on motor power, faster under sail depending on the wind. My question is, are there any safe anchorages around the surf spots on Nootka/Brooks Pen./Hesquiat? If anybody has any information about navigational hazards or GPS coordinates for me, I'd totally appreciate it, otherwise I'm going in blind. Mahalo.

Don't shit where you eat - Please don't use the pools above calvin falls as a bathroom. It is the only decent source of fresh water on the beach. Take walk down the beach and shit below the tideline. It seems like common sense but it happens every summer, people bathing and going to the bathroom above the falls. That said, I love this place: beach break, river mouth break and if you got the cajones the reef at the north end spits wicked barrels over flat limestone shelves at med to low tide.
