Edd it's been YEARS - Hope you are OK. We are in war zone,fortunately we did get rid of BUSH however everything else is pretty bad.Do not want to return to States,cannot afford New Zealand they want 750K up front, so back to looking into Sennen. We gotta get outa here, it's bad.Still remember good times on sennen.com, what a hoot, except as I recall you got us both banned, heehee.Well at least no one is out in the water here, just have to dodge the bullets.XXX

Sennen Cove - The place sucks. Beachguards designate the surf area and usually there are no waves in that area. Don't even think of going there. waste of time and money. Waves break like 10 meters from the beach.

Sennen - I agree with the comment below, Sennen and Gwenvor cant get pretty incredible at points and pretty crap at others. But, this is England and in my opinion it is the best (known) surf beach in England, not just the quality of the surf, but when I was in France this summer at Hossegor the waves seemed the same except the dramatic coastline was missing!

Sennen/Gwenva - Different years, different swells. Both Gwenva and Sennen are beach breaks, so depending on how the tides and storms move the sand around and where the rips are both beaches can vary from Dull to phenomenal. I've been surfing there since 1979 on and off. Spent 2 summers there in 86 and 87 and those that surfed there in 87 will remember some classic swells. From June through Oct that year Gwenva had a big channel and both a left and a right broke off a sand bar right across the beach from either side of the bay straight into the channel. The point that year (RH) was amazing and yeah it did look like Indo. One of the locals Kevin Mathews went to OZ that summer and the east coast was flat the whole six months he was there - gutted! As for the locals - they're pretty cool and the scene is really laid back.

Edd - Baja Margie - yes, I am still around, but don't surf Sennen/Gwenver that much, since I moved a little further away, who are you Margie? Girlfriend has gone now, thankfully!

Sennen is the NUTS !!!! - Sennen has got to be the most chilled beach in cornwall!! I've always found the locals friendly and never had any problems and this gives the place a very special atmosphere unlike anywhere else. The place does get very busy at weekends if the weather and surf are good but then once you been once you'll always want to go back.

definetly maybe - pic2 is really sennen as i was out that day and cracked my ribs also it was local photographer so no more trying to claim it its true brit.....
