English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Parking is available right at the beach entrance, in summer don't leave valuables in your car, and watch the crowd....
Due to its relatively protected position, needs a sizeable swell (or well orientated) before it goes off.
Again, in summer, strong thermal winds often blow offshore in the evening, so check conditions throughout the day. Depending on the sand bar, it can be very fickle - working for only an hour or so, on an incoming tide. The wave can be quite 'sectiony', closing out often.

At low tide a wave breaks alongside the cliffs on the extreme western end of the beach behind the point. Respect the locals, sometimes theres some stress in the line up with tourists (usually called "bifos") that drop in.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): A tourists beach which, given the right conditions, throws up a great right-hand wave. A steep take-off which holds some size - the locals (most of them bodyboarders) have it wired so be prepared for not getting a lot of waves. and beware of the fake sand bottom, the rocks are exposed depending on the time of the year. watch out for undertow when its big.
Général
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): A real fun wave, worth the detour if you're in the area, with warmer water than the breaks on the Atlantic facing coastline

5 stars, sometimes... - In Summer time, when the wave is breaking, the crowds are impossible. Remember, it´s a surf schools beach. In Winter time, specially on week days, you can have some fun. With a big swell hitting the West coast and the wind blowing from the North, Z-point becomes a world class wave, in which case you should stay on the beach or cliffs and leave it to the pros and experienced locals.

the most beauthifull beach for surfing - this is the perfect beach it`s magical the color of the water can be so blue or so green it seems like fotos of maldives or indonesia and the wave comes along the brown cleef or another color it depends at the sun intensity the waves are powerfull it`s more or less like super-tubos in peniche but for right perfect ambient after an epic ride nothing better a good dinner at the local restaurante with a good butle of portuguese red wine and then a goood smoke...

Look out for thieves - Sorry to spam here like this, but my car and few others got broken in on this beach while surfing, and I AM PRETTY badly pissed off!
As nice place as Sagres and its surroundings are, you should start paying more attention to guys who want to spoil everyone's good mood and the relaxed atmosphere.
If you see, or someone tries to sell you MY Ipod (there's an engraving on the backside), MY Sony camera, MY beautiful Hurley army green jacket or anything else that is stolen, please put a stop that ill will.
Otherwise, enjoy the place! It's been quite spacious during the spring, with the right conditions it suits surfers of all levels, a nice beach break.
