I'm not really sure where the exit is, but I used to live in Calle Ingenio, wich is a mile east or southeast of Luquillo. You will see a rural farm with a country road filled with tons of cattle. Park at the red gate that leads down the road, you have to hop the fence. There is never anybody around and you won't get in trouble. It's about a mile walk at least, so this isn't for the faint of heart. You should be very careful of the cows, my friends and I were attacked by a hump-back bull and had to climb a tree to save our skin. After the walk you will come out to a beach. Straigth ahead there is a fun beachbreak in certain conditions, but for more experienced surfers there is a point to your right that has a reef in front of it. This is the "gem" surf spot on the east coast and the locals try to keep it quiet. Paddle out and try to sit as close to the area of the reef that is uncovered just before the wave breaks. It will be sketchy at first, but it is well worth it. On the right swell this place is like no other. Long, punchy, walled-up rights can be hade all day with very small crowds (sometimes empty during the week). This spot can be a pain because the reef is so shallow close to the beach and it is hard to duck-dive oncoming waves without getting shaken up a bit by the turbulence. Great spot, pack a lunch, leaves the cows alone!

Informations supplémentaires
There is a better description of this spot on surfrider.com, they are trying to protect this break form a potential yacht club. Oh, don't leave your stuff laying around because it will disappear. Even a local friend of mine had his stuff stolen and we even hid it in a thicket of brush.

Atmosphère
The atmosphere of this spot is amazing. After your heart bgins to slow from the initial cattle filled section of the walk, is a narrow dirt road w/barb wire on each side. You enter the beache and are just blown away by the scenic view. There are no home, hotels, or usually people. there is only miles of white beaches, teal water, and a ton of palm trees on the edge of the beaches. you will see all sorts of animals on the way; this path is littered with cattle (which I hate),iguana, and mongoose (you don't have to worry about snakes in PR due to the huge mongoose population). I moved away 2 years ago, and the sessions that I had here will haunt me forever, I love this spot and hope you do too!

distance from la pared - About 2.5 miles, but it feels like 5 miles cause the sand along the beach from la pared to la selva is soft and deep and very tiring to walk long distance.
