Informations supplémentaires
Park car at the end of the road and follow the trail through the estuary or over the concrete flood control "bridge." The campground is on the beach. With bigger swells, the wave will close out or break too fast for most people. Shore break and near shore side current can be strong but once out in the take off zone, the drift decreases. Sand enemas are possible.

Atmosphère
The beach is a private campground, open to the public, and costs only 6 pesos for day or overnight use. There are toilets and outdoor shower, palapas for shade and an area to prepare food. Horses and kayaks may be available for rent. The coast is undeveloped and wild for at least 10 to 15 miles in either direction. Sea turtles nest on the beach several months of the year. Do not swim in the nearby estuary as there is a sizable population of crocs living there. There are no stores, restaurants, or other services on the beach but some services are available in the nearby ranching pueblo, La Gloria, or Pino Suarez.
While it is empty now, the owners of the land have big plans for the area. They have a web site: www.ranchodelasolas.com

Général
Worth a look, especially if you are tired of the crowds near Puerto Vallarta (Punta de Mita, Sayulita) or you are travelling between Puerto Vallarta and points south or vice versa. Try to catch a combined swell (NW & SW).

- hola, the campsite, is not a surf camp. it was never meant to referee or babysit its guests. i never posted photos for a good reason, its still uncrowded today. we keep the road unpaved at the request of the locals, this isnt disney land, this is a self contained spot. pack it in, pack it out. the host can provide as much as you want to pay for. .......if you book ahead.
