English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): OK, so its the big as sand bar at plimmerton. you know, across the road from the train station where there is a carpark. If you dont know where it is, chances are youll never see a wave there. The reason for the "experienced surfers" tick is because its such a massive paddle to get out the break. English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): OK, so youve seen all the windsurfers out there right? but you can actually surf this on a big as mal if you paddle right out to where the edge of channel is. It can only be surfed when the swell(not wind swell -actual base swell)is Nw and massive and the tide is low and the wind is nil. Watch out for boats and those pesky stingrays.Wear bright clothing. Oh, and watch out for out-going tides, you dont want to end up in cookstrait. You can work out where the channel is by lining up the two triangles on the hill.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): This place is never surfed because if there are waves here there are more powerful waves at Titahi bay. You can stand up pretty much all the way out there as its not deep. The rides are long as on small as waves.
Général
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Its real fun if you want to practise those headstands and hang 10s. Go out there with a couple of friends if your out for the excercise rather than the wave. Its kinda cool because if there are surfable waves there, it is more than likely itll be glassy as, you can see the bottom as your riding. Ill try to get a photo for all you disbelievers.

- There is a bomby on the Tbay side on surfers right of the channel that breaks a bit bigger and steeper, but much shorter ride. Opposite Mana train station. Needs an incoming high and big swell. Haven't surfed it but have seen it breaking in big swells.
