No joke - Ive seen the right at the southern end when its on & its not a myth!Gets big & breaks a fair way too. This ones definatly one for the jetski and a commited surfer with the time off work.I will be watching it closely this winter as it eclipses any wave in wellington when its on.

think this spot would have to work - look i was watching the north end just going off in a nice groundie the other day.....from a distance. it looked like it was pealing right down the line...south end looked like it was working too......if only i had a boat......but get out there people...i think this spot would be sick....that photo sounds fake though......oh well good luck

Only from the air... - I used to fly back and forth between Welly and Melbourne every week and would always try to see if there was waves breaking off Mana...on the odd occassion when there was massive South groundswell I saw (what looked like) a great right hander peeling down the inside, so I'm guessing this place goes off when everything is lined up...
