It's 60km out of Broome along a bumpy dirt road. You can probably get through with a 2WD in dry season but you will need a capable 4WD if the roads are in poor condition. Take the turn off toward Cape Leveque, then turn left onto Manari Road and then keep driving up the road until you see the sign for James Price Point. Ask a local if you get lost or are unsure. Once you arrive you will see the point with a left hander breaking off it which will run for a few hundred metres on a good day. You can also drive north of the point to the beach where there is a small fun shorebreak to fish, swim, surf etc if there's a bit of swell.

Informations supplémentaires
Only breaks a few times of the year when there's a magical combination of good swell and wind from the right direction. Often during the wet season when there's swell generated from cyclones and tropical lows the roads will all be closed off to vehicles so you can either risk getting bogged and/or fined $$$ or you can try to take a boat up from Cable Beach. Either way it's a bit of a trek however it is an experience to surf these big pindan red left handers in such a beautiful area of the world.
I've been there when the swell is only 0.4m from the SW with the tuide around ~5m and it was still breaking around knee high off the point. If you come here on a mid-high tide with a 2.5-3m SW swell it will be pumping!
You can drive down onto the beach if you have a 4WD just be mindful of the tides. Many cars are lost each year.
Wear reef boots as there's lots of sharp jagged rocks, stingrays and other nasties in the shallow waters. Be careful of the submerged rocks in the water too.. nearest hospital is a bumpy hour long drive away!

Atmosphère
Great atmosphere.
If it's flat then go fishing off the rocks or go for a swim at the northern sandy beach. It's a great place and very relaxing - just remember to show respect of the country in general and be mindful of Aboriginal sacred sites in the area (big fines for disturbing them, plus bad joojoo)!
Lots of other well-known local spots like Manari and Quandong which have good surfing with the right conditions and also good camping and fishing too. There's even a secret reef slab which looks like a mini 3ft Teahupoo and breaks only on the right tide and swell.. you'll have to come and see if you can find it!
