When eastmans is working best is a NE swell with light winds. on a NE swell left and rights are availiable. on a west swell there are mostly lefts. quite a crowded wave dominated by bodyboarders. A very steep wave that breaks close to the shore.On a big day the locals get barreled off the point where it breaks really shallow over rocks. When you see a low pressure system, cold front or a big west swell in bass strait you know eastmans will be pumping. The storm water that rushes out after big rain fall forms a perfect a-frame. A fairly relaxed spot. If you respect the locals they will respect you sorta thing. the huge number of bodyboarders destroy the relaxed vibe at the place. the place gets a fair amount of protection from the howling westerlies.
