Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): South Australia is synonymous with sharks and heavy locals and this break is no exception. This reef is very sharp and shallow.
Général
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Powerful, barreling, beast of a wave. At 3 metres this is a VERY serious wave.

Sucked in! - Surfed Brown Bay the other day.... PERFECT. The waves seem to re-form allot but you get the odd one that will hold up and barrel for ages. EVERYONE, IF YOU WANT TO SURF PERFECT WAVES, WITH NO ONE OUT, GO TO BROWN BAY NEAR PORT MACDONNEL, IN S.A. Its siiiiik!

comments?? - Well, I dont know what the heck is up with these comments.. I have been surfing a while now.. browns was where I started and It is a great spot with the right condtitions
(for the sake of it being a non crownded area where the small south east towns can come, i wont tell you what conditions they are) and very friendly outcomes, cause there is little danger.I have previously started checking out our reef breaks and can say I think we are pretty lucky, the surf here looks satisfying to any level of surfer.. I have been trying Mokes and I can say I am really tested. I have seen very good waves here, so i am not sure why people are saying we have crappy breaks. I went down previously to Mokes on a 10ft day and it held well the waves were huge 5 - 6.5ft wave face and very clean long rides. I must also say that it is a large step up from beachies like browns, I have had hold downs as long as 5 seconds just from trying to punch through whitewater without duckdiving. I can safely say we dont have 'fat women' ?.
I havent moved on to the other reefs yet because I know i will get myself hurt but i would like to know what posties is like in all seriousness and where it is in relation to mokes, and trust me not all our locals are tough or claim to be, I was out the other day and they were very helpfull. perhaps try and stay out of our way on the good days cause all our locals will try to be there and they want the waves that they have studied during living in the area.
