Firstly you have Manly with all the beginners and kooks but get an early at Queenscliff at the north end of the beach and its perfect then theres the reef around the headland called Fairy Bower that consists of winkipop (race tracks), Fairy Bower and deadmans that breaks onto big sections of rock. As you go north the beach in general just get better, Freshwater where the first person ever surfed in Oz with a nice little wave then Curl Curl seriously heeavy beach break - this beach let me know a few times what it does, then DeeWhy, a nice point break on the bigger days, heavy locals. Then Nomansland and Longreef, top bomby out back great on the big days with long boards out back
