Well Jewels can get very big and heavy so you have to watch out for freak sets. You can only take a 4wd there. In fact, jewels isnt so bad, its the currents which are a pain, although, its a great spot to visit or check out.

What i really love is when we are walking over there and get to the lookout and it is going off. ilove it because it is only our mates over there no angry mal riders just us lids and surfers.

I think Jewels is like any other break in newcastle. rather average, a bit sharky, a bit fickle, few ppl surfing it, currents are a pain to stay on the peaks, lovely place to travel to. beware mad bike & quad riders.
