English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Crackneck Point has been its name as long as I can remember (1960's). It wasn't surfed until the 1970's, and more so after the advent of bodyboards. Crackneck Point is a left-hander. Those photos of the right-handers are about 50 metres south of Crackneck Point. Avoid walking down the track for environmental and tick reasons. Walk around from Bateau Bay instead. Even better, save time and get some waves at Bateau or Shelley instead.

BOZO - Bozo again,I have surfed the neck (what we call it ) since the early 70's. Indies wasn't really an option in the early days untill Jug Allport got into it as a boardrider. The rights require precise judgement at take off and with multiple boogers on the shoulder these days the strike rate for a good tube is compromised.I don't hate them but It has made an awesome wave difficult. I have travelled to Great waves In Indo and some of the best tubes I have ever had have been the neck rights on my own with no one out ( I am a local) If your on it Its bullshit fun . sorry boogers but you need to respect the boardriders when they take off. you can have the waves we can't take off on because we can't make the drop but when the right one lines up Give it to the Boardrider .

BOZO -
hey guys we are the original locals to surf the neck, around the mid 70's Joe Engle & Cheyne Horan used to hang with Maggot ( Brett Walker ) they were the first guys to surf the rights ( the invention of legropes helped a lot)
we surfed the lefts without leggy's & swam for our boards as grommies,we wre the bateau bay guys and 6 guys in the water was a crowd, we spent many nights sleeping on the rocks for the early , I have surfed it on my tens of time , I am in my fifties now , I dont surf it now because the boogers have wrecked it
Awesome wave without the crowds , the best time of my life in the 70's
