An Accurate Translation - The translation below is precise. You must bring a vehicle to get to the beach, which is two hours from Libreville. The most recent translation is erroneous. The original instructions provide precise information in French. It is the translation... Where is the crocodile? Where is it? Does it sleep under the headland? Does the campsite protect you? There are crocodiles on the beach. You will be in danger if the crocodile descends down the beach. Sweetened cereal attracts crocodiles. Do not eat sweetened cereal in the morning. The cliffs are eroded by breezes. The cliffs are above the campsite. Alas, your wetsuit will not protect you from the crocodiles. A steel costume will protect you from the crocodiles. What will you do if the corocodiles decide to eat you? You are not sweetened cereal, but a dangerous crocodile will be very hungry!

Surfing Gabon 101 (from the French)... - The translation below is fairly accurate, for the original does speak of the necessity of a four-wheel drive vehicle to get to La Ferme Aux Crocos, which is indeed some one and a half hours from Libreville, going north. However, from there, the most recent translation digresses rather rapidly. The tenor of the original work meant to import a fair degree of poetic style along with its surfing information. While one can never translate the French into English without losing something of the original poeticism, for the sake of your readership, it is neverthelsss necessary to try. Thus, a more accurate translation would be (picking up from after 4*4): "But what of croc? What of he? Doth he sleep by cliff by sea? And doth thou petard (cement wall at campsite) between you and he, even if it be up to 80 centimeters thick, offer any protection at all, from the crocos on the beach? Be what of that, and what of ye, if said crocs scuttle up the beach? Thy coco puffs, on a morning sweet, attract said crocos hither ye. And what of cliffs, eroded by breeze, above thy campsite so sweet? Alas, surfing lad, with silicone neporene, it shall not protect you from crocos on the beach. A suit of steel mesh, size A or B, doth serve thou well, from crocos by sea. Be what of thou and what of me, when crocos on beach seek you to eat? A coco puff ye be not, but terrible croco be terribly hungry!

...but I know a Frog when I hear it - All this mumbo-jumbo about crocodiles and their love for "sweetened cereal" sounds like a bunch of French hooey.
I would think a hungry croc would go for a Frog in a heartbeat
