Private beaches? - Actually, there are private beaches in washington state. In certain areas, beaches and tides lands to the lowest tide are privately owned. YOU CAN be on the water but not on the beach. I own two such pieces of property.

Stupidity Should Hurt!! - To whom this may concern,
Why don't you just draw a map with a big huge X on it where to surf. Oh wait you did and now every KOOK is going to exploit private land!! For the people that actually enjoyed searching for unridden waves, those days are over because of these people's stupidity.

- Most likely if any spot on the straight is working so are the dump and wedge. However you have a greater chance of these two spots being blown out. I love the protection of the straight. So many glassed off days. I wish the coast had the wind conditions of the straight, but not the fickle swell.

it is worth a check - i have checked this place so many times and it is almost always a close out. but i have had some freinds get it really good once. most likely if this place is hitting the dump and the wedge are going off!
