Picks up lots of swell, but be careful of strong currents. If you get hurt bad out here, or sucked out to sea, you will most likely die. English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Be careful or rommel spikes, buried in the ground, if you hike off trail. Buried during WWII, if you step on one, these rusted spikes will go right through your foot.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Lots of caribou hunters out here in September. Other than that, you won't see anyone. Respect the area and please keep this place out of the big surf mags.
Général
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Cold, isolated, but a regularly good wave. Probably the best and most consistent spot to surf on Adak, as far as sensible access. it is still isolated though, and gnarly, unexpected weather can kill the unprepared within a half hour. This is generally a serious (i.e. - potentially consequential) surf trip, more like an expedition really. Gets good year-round, just beware of weather and potentially deadly surf conditions.

No TRESSPASSING - While you can access the lagoon openings at Shagak Bay ('White Alice'), stay out of the actual radar facility, which is off limits and extremely dangerous due to a big PCB spill that has never been fully cleaned up.

Photos - I came across the 2 photos listed for "White Alice" in a YouTube video. It was done by a military guy who was stationed there in 1987 to 1988. The YouTube thing was a bunch of still photos made into a movie. Those photos where part of the movie but were not identified, so they may of may not be White Alice.
