Love the waves - I've been 3 times! There are beach huts with clean rooms, resteraunts, and waves (sometimes). There is a sand bar at the river mouth, which you can get some noseriding in! Not great or consistant, but the water is CLEAN. Winter time brings the best swell, but bring a wetsuit in January. It gets cool... ***We are still looking for better breaks, but if you love the water, any waves are FUN!

Potential Surf - I surfed this place about 2 weeks ago. The surf was about 3-5 feet, small but fun. Considering it is summer and the swell was generated by a small storm I think it was ok.
Once a typhoon or a winter swell came through I think this place would be certainly worth looking at.

longboarding .....in Xi chong - ...Im a longboarder and Ive been boarding all over western Gunagxi. Soon Ill be moving to south east yunnan. Any boarders out there (id add the questrion mark to this but...the key is missing)

I surfed somehwere near or this spot in 1992 - Hi.....I lived just up the coast from Da Peng Village in a small expatirate village when my dad use to work at the nuclear power plant. I was 15 and as surfer I had brought my surfboard with me from S.A I remember doing a mission in the typhoon season to Da Peng village where would would often do veg and meat shopping in the markets. Me and my brother and freind organzed motorbike taxis and they took us to some beach and there were waves and I surfed and the swam in the water. I would not say I scored, as the conditions were hard as the typhoon was appraoching the coastline and conditions were not easy but this place and coast around this area has potential for investigations! One of those surfing experinces that I will never forget!!!

New road being built out there - Hello,
I'm back from Xi chong and i guess in less than one year the road from Nan'ao to the spot will be finished.
Still, one can use it even if it's under construction : from Shenzhen, the bus n°966 takes you right on the beach.
Accomodation is available on each side of the beach : either a good hotel or "guest houses" (smaller good hotels, in fact).

Hurry up to get there before the access becomes too easy ...

Bow Twice To Venerable Buddha - Hainan have best surf. Reef make wave round inside- *tube* and Hainan have nice point in addition. After surfer ride, must pay tribute to Venerable Golden Buddha in Haikou. In addition surfer eat fried frog ovary for male strength attraction.
