Continue into the town to the main Plaza, stay on the road and at the end corner of the Plaza, the road in front of you will turn into a one way (Do Not Enter-- Sign), but you can turn either left or right, (((((turning right takes you along the edge of the Plaza, this leads directly to La Selva Surf Shop about a block up the street))))) Turning left takes you to the beach, this small stretch of beach in front of the wall/railing is La Pared, Enjoy!

 Informations supplémentaires

Park right on the beach. You are literally in a beach barrio but the locals seem friendly. There are some nice condos but in between are some crappy houses. Go to La Selva surf shop to rent boards if you need but don't expect quality(they have Morey, Surf-Tech, and a Bic for $20 each a day).

Atmosphère

On a weekday- there is no one here. You will have some surfers and bodyboarders show up around 5PM after work but they are usually friendly. If you are bringing fairly attractive girls with you and they are staying on the beach-keep an eye on them- they guys are very aggressive and I had to stare a few guys off.

Général

Great place to teach people how to surf. A nice 3-5 foot wave with different size breaks within sets. The water is warm, sandy, and clean. After about an hour my friends were able to surf- it is that easy here. If you want a good break go to the point on the left, you will see a log stuck in the reef. Paddle out and wait, you will have a nice left break that is longer than La Pared and makes a nice small barrel once in a while. It is not the best spot in PR- but it is the best for beginners or for those who want to have some fun.

In the search for la pared - Visited this beach on the day of The Goddess of the Ocean Festival (Yemaya) and paid my respects to the living and the dead. I prayed to my patron saint (Yemaya herself) to always protect me and not drown me when I go surf there. The place is pre

Current of death - Holy crap. This is the longest paddle of my life. This current is Hardcore when its Big, theres a bit of a channel. Perfect your duckdive otherwise youll end up sucking white water for 2 hours

De local , 31-05-2006

LOCAL - To surf la pared you really have to know the area, because acording to the season curent and break areas change. winter and hurracane seasons are the best.

De anonymous , 18-07-2005

Crapola! - Lived next to it for 3 years. Only good when Hurricanes go past it to the north. Then it is fun and usually clean. But mostly disorganized lumby dumping garbage. Go to La Selva or race tracks or like me just drive to the west coast.
